Milan, Jan. 31 (LaPresse) – Regarding the automotive sector, "we were the first to say that immediate change is necessary to avoid collapse. That’s why in September we presented a Green Deal revision document, supported by 15 European countries, and urged for swift action. The delays that unfortunately characterize European institutions do not take into account competition from China and the US," said Adolfo Urso, Minister of Enterprises and Made in Italy, on 24 Mattino on Radio24.

"I believe that fines are an insurmountable obstacle for the European automotive industry, which would be penalized by 15 billion euros. Their removal is necessary, but it is absolutely not enough. We cannot hide the elephant behind a closet; we must immediately tackle and resolve the issue of fines," he added, emphasizing the need to address the matter of technological neutrality.
