Snam: 2025-2029 Plan Increases Investments to €12.4 Billion

Milan, Jan. 22 (LaPresse) – Snam has outlined total investments of €12.4 billion in its 2025-2029 Strategic Plan (net of approximately €1 billion in public funding). The group announced in a statement that this marks an 8% increase compared to the previous plan. The plan focuses on two main areas: investments in gas infrastructure across the entire midstream value chain and investments in energy transition businesses.

A substantial portion of the investments, €10.9 billion (compared to €10.3 billion in the previous plan), is allocated to the sustainable development of gas infrastructure:

€8.0 billion (compared to €7.4 billion in the previous plan) is allocated to transportation projects, including completing the Adriatic Line, replacing approximately 850 kilometers of pipelines with hydrogen-ready standards, three dual-fuel compression stations, and biogas plant connection projects.
€2.0 billion (compared to €1.4 billion in the previous plan) will be used to expand and enhance storage sites, install three dual-fuel compression stations, and invest in Edison Stoccaggio assets, whose acquisition is expected to close in Q1 2025, pending Antitrust approval.
€0.9 billion (compared to €1.5 billion in the previous plan) is dedicated to commissioning the Ravenna FSRU and constructing small-scale infrastructure at Panigaglia and Pignataro.
