Rome, Feb. 6 (LaPresse) – “The year 2025 is confirmed to be an uphill one, as far as price increases in bills are concerned. The Energy Authority (Arera), in fact, announced an additional 1.1 percent increase in the cost of gas compared to the previous month.” Thus the Altroconsumo association in a note. “The raw material component alone, the majority part of the total expenditure, is in full upward trend, rising from 0.509 €/cubic meter in December to over 0.53 in January (+4.7%). When all cost items are considered, it comes to the 1.1 percent increase. Suffering the consequences of these price increases are customers who have contracted a supply in the protected market (about 2.36 million, according to the Authority), but price increases will also be felt in the free market, for all customers with variable price contracts,” Altroconsumo concludes.
