Milan, 6 February (LaPresse) – A bill has been proposed to ban the DeepSeek app on US government-owned devices. This is exclusively reported by the Wall Street Journal, explaining that Congressmen Darin LaHood, Republican of Illinois, and Josh Gottheimer, Democrat of New Jersey, will introduce the bill as early as today, echoing the strategy used by Congress to ban access to government devices by China-controlled TikTok, which marked the beginning of the attempt to block the company's operations in the US. ‘It should be a no-brainer in terms of actions we should take immediately to prevent our enemy from obtaining information from our government,’ Gottheimer said.
