Washington (USA), April 24 (LaPresse) – The importance of a free and fair international trade system, governed by rules that promote a level playing field for businesses in global markets, was emphasized by Minister of Economy Giancarlo Giorgetti in his speech at the G7 financial session held last night in Washington, on the sidelines of the IMF-World Bank week, according to sources close to the minister. According to Giorgetti, the G7 should focus on common issues such as China's overcapacity. The Minister of Economy, discussing the consequences of potential tariffs, also highlighted the need to act collectively to address challenges and called for an open and honest debate aimed at reducing the uncertainty of this period.
