Frankfurt (Germany), 5 June (LaPresse) – "With today's cut and the current level of interest rates, first of all, I think we are coming to the end of a monetary policy cycle that was responding to compound shocks, including Covid, the war in Ukraine and the energy crisis. But obviously, we are now living in a different period, with different actors, different partners and different policies. We will continue to analyse, assess, measure and ensure that we achieve our medium-term objective of 2%." This was stated by the President of the European Central Bank (ECB), Christine Lagarde, at a press conference in Frankfurt.
