Rome, 16 September (LaPresse) – A day of mobilisation for Gaza: this is the decision taken by the CGIL trade union for Friday 19 September. "What happened last night, with Netanyahu's government's occupation of Gaza, forces us to start from this and from the decisions that we as CGIL took this morning. We believe that what is happening is of unprecedented gravity. The massacre and deportation of the Palestinian people must be stopped. As the CGIL, we have decided to call for a day of mobilisation on Friday 19 September, with the proclamation of hours of strike action and demonstrations at a local level." This was announced by CGIL secretary Maurizio Landini during a press conference with journalists. ‘We are doing this in accordance with the rules,’ he assured, ‘the sectors involved in 146 will not stop and the invitation is to hold assemblies.’
