Frankfurt (Germany), 30 September (LaPresse) – ‘To the extent that we can model the future, the risks to inflation appear to be fairly limited in both directions.’ This was stated by the President of the European Central Bank (ECB), Christine Lagarde, in her speech at the fourth International Monetary Policy Conference of the Bank of Finland. ‘With key interest rates now at 2%, we are in a favourable position to react if inflation risks change or if new shocks emerge that threaten our objective,’ Lagarde added.
