Milan, Oct 17 (LaPresse) – “The non-observed economy” amounts to “over 217 billion in 2023, with an incidence of 10.2% on GDP.” This was reported by Istat. In 2023 – Istat informs in a note – the value of the non-observed economy increased by 15.1 billion, marking a rise of 7.5% compared to 2022 (+7.2% the growth of current GDP). The underground economy (that is, net of illegal activities) amounts to just under 198 billion euros, up by 14.9 billion compared to the previous year, while illegal activities are close to 20 billion.
