Seattle (United States), 28 October (LaPresse/AP) – Amazon announced today its decision to cut approximately 14,000 jobs, at a time when the online retail giant is significantly increasing its investment in artificial intelligence. Just last June, CEO Andy Jassy, who has been committed to cutting costs since his appointment in 2021, said he expected generative artificial intelligence to reduce Amazon's workforce in the coming years.
