Milan, 27 November. (LaPresse) – In OECD countries, women receive monthly pensions that are on average about a quarter lower than those of men, ranging from less than 10% in the Czech Republic, Estonia, Iceland, Slovakia and Slovenia to over 35% in Austria, Mexico, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, reaching 47% in Japan. This is according to the OECD report “Pensions at a Glance 2025”. The large average gender pension gap in OECD countries, it is pointed out, fell from 28% in 2007 to 23% in 2024, and this downward trend is expected to continue.
