Milan, 2 December (LaPresse) – In October 2025, on a monthly basis, Istat recorded a decline in the unemployment rate, which fell to 6.0% (-0.2 points), while the youth unemployment rate fell to 19.8% (-1.9 points). This was announced by the statistics institute in its update on “Employed and Unemployed” for October 2025. The number of people seeking work decreased (-3.7%, equal to -59,000), a trend that affects men, women and all age groups. The substantial stability of the inactive population between the ages of 15 and 64, which affects both genders, is, however, a summary of the growth among 15-34 year olds and the decrease among those aged 35 and over. The inactivity rate remained unchanged at 33.2%.
