Munich (Germany), 15 February (LaPresse) – ‘Europe grows in times of crisis. Europe is stronger, it grows stronger in times of crisis.’ This was stated by the President of the European Central Bank (ECB), Christine Lagarde, during a panel discussion at the Munich Security Conference. "Two crises have been mentioned. I would add a third, namely the kick in the pants we all received as a result of President Trump's change of attitude towards Europe. I am not dismissing the issue, I am just saying that this is what is happening right now, and it is bringing European leaders and policy makers much closer together, and this must continue,‘ Lagarde said, stressing that ’the markets are not always wrong. And when I look at the amount of money being invested right now, particularly by venture capitalists, in those key sectors where price/earnings ratios and price/book ratios are rising massively… the money is coming in."
