Milan, 31 March. (LaPresse) – Inflation rises in March: according to preliminary estimates from Istat, the national consumer price index for the entire community (Nic), including tobacco, records a change of +0.5% on a monthly basis and +1.7% on an annual basis (from +1.5% in the previous month). The rise is "mainly due to the acceleration of prices in the energy sector (-2.3% from -6.6%)" and "unprocessed food (+4.4% from +3.7%), while a containment effect is due to the slowdown in the prices of some types of services, in particular recreational, cultural and personal care ones (+3.0% from +4.9%)", writes Istat.
