Rome, 14 May (LaPresse) – "The 2026 tax return process is now in full swing. The 730 forms, which have been available for viewing since 30 April, can now be completed, amended or accepted as proposed by the tax authorities and submitted online. More than 4 million visits have been recorded in these first two weeks; furthermore, among users who have already selected their tax return form, 80% have chosen the simplified 730 form, which guides the user with a more intuitive interface and simple language." This was announced by the Italian Revenue Agency. "A new video is available on the Revenue Agency’s YouTube channel, which outlines the changes for 2026 and reminds viewers that it is always possible to authorise a family member or a trusted individual to act on their behalf online. The Revenue Agency’s call centre is also launching a special support service: from 23 May until 20 June, the operator-assisted telephone service, which is usually available from Monday to Friday, will also answer calls on Saturday mornings – the statement reads – In these first two weeks, there have been more than 4 million accesses by citizens to the pre-filled tax return. Among taxpayers who have already selected their tax return form, almost 8 in 10 have chosen the simplified 730 form (76.8%), a figure up on that recorded at the end of last year’s campaign (60%). Lombardy leads the way with more than 930,000 visits, followed by Lazio, with over 480,000 visits. Piedmont and Veneto are close behind: the number of visits recorded by the system is approaching 350,000.
