Rome, 27 Feb. (LaPresse) – Oscar winner Gene Hackman (95) and his wife Betsy Arakawa (63) were found dead in their home in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This was reported by the BBC. In a statement, the Santa Fe County Sheriff said: ‘We can confirm that Gene Hackman and his wife were found dead on Wednesday afternoon at their residence on Sunset Trail’. The officer did not provide details about the deaths, referring to an ‘ongoing investigation’, but added that at the moment ‘we do not think it was murder’. During a career that has lasted more than six decades, Hackman has received two Oscars, two Baftas, four Golden Globes and a Screen Actors Guild Award.
