‘Mario Martone's ‘Fuori’ in Competition at Cannes Film Festival

Rome, Apr. 10 (LaPresse) – ‘Fuori’ the new film by Mario Martone will be presented in Competition at the 78th Cannes Film Festival. The film stars Valeria Golino as Goliarda Sapienza, Matilda De Angelis, Elodie, Corrado Fortuna, Antonio Gerardi, and Francesco Gheghi. The writer Goliarda Sapienza ends up in prison for stealing jewellery, but the encounter with some young female inmates proves to be a rebirth experience for her. Released from prison, in a hot Roman summer, the women continue to hang out and Goliarda forges a deep bond with Roberta, a habitual delinquent and political activist. A relationship that no one outside can understand but thanks to which Goliarda rediscovers the joy of life and the drive to write.The film is based on a subject by Ippolita di Majo, the screenplay is by Mario Martone and Ippolita di Majo.
