Milan, May 1 (LaPresse) – From the stage of the May Day Concert in Rome, BigMama denounced the hate she receives on social media. “I wanted to give one of my speeches. Usually I tend to defend others, to justify people, but now I’ve had enough. Lately there’s been so much hate. Today I’m talking about hating, about all those people who feel entitled to comment negatively on anything you do in life. I can’t take it anymore. It’s all becoming way too much. I ask myself, where’s the reason behind this?” said the singer from Piazza San Giovanni. “Let us live. The worst part is that many of these people are my parents’ age. How can you throw so much hate at a young girl? What do you know about my story, the story of my body? Mine is a body that has given me a lot and taken a lot away, a body that has made me suffer, that at 20 put me in a hospital undergoing chemotherapy—and yet I forgive it. Can you tell me why you can’t forgive it too? When you see these comments, take a good look and think: ‘thank goodness I’m not like that,’” she concluded.
