Turin, 27 May (LaPresse) – The coming summer will be a very blue one, especially for basketball fans. Rai has acquired exclusive rights from DAZN to broadcast all matches of the Italian men's and women's national teams, which will be playing in two continental tournaments between June and September, plus both finals, regardless of whether an Italian team is on the court. Both tournaments, according to a well-established formula, will consist of a first group stage (four groups of four teams for the women, four groups of six for the men) and a second knockout stage: Andrea Capobianco's Azzurre, in Group B, which will play all their matches in Bologna, will make their debut on 18 June against Serbia, continue the following evening against Slovenia before closing the first phase on Saturday 21 against Lithuania. Gianmarco Pozzecco's Azzurri, on the other hand, will play the first phase of the tournament in Cyprus, in a particularly competitive group C, with defending champions Spain, led by Sergio Scariolo, Greece, featuring the Antetokounmpo brothers, Georgia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and hosts Cyprus. Their debut is scheduled for 28 August at 8.30 p.m. in Limassol against Greece. All matches will be broadcast live on Rai 2, Rai 3 or Rai Sport HD.
