Milan, May 31 (LaPresse) – The new jury of X Factor 2025 is born today: Achille Lauro, Francesco Gabbani, Jake La Furia, and Paola Iezzi are the four judges of the edition expected in September on Sky and streaming on Now. Giorgia has already been confirmed as the host. The official announcement of the jury was made in a video released today on X Factor’s social media.
For Francesco Gabbani, this is an absolute debut on a talent show: singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and multi-platinum artist, he has released six studio albums throughout his career, collecting 13 platinum records and 4 gold records. At the Sanremo Festival, he has won twice: in 2016 in the Newcomers category with "Amen" (which also won the Mia Martini Critics’ Prize in its category and the Sergio Bardotti Prize for best lyrics, as well as achieving platinum status) and the following year among the Big Artists with "Occidentali’s Karma" (six platinum records, a single that broke every kind of record for views and streaming and remained at the top of the radio airplay charts for weeks). He was the first artist in the history of the Festival to win two years in a row, first among the Newcomers and then among the Big Artists. In 2020, he came second with "Viceversa" (3 platinum records).
His songs have surpassed 700 million views on YouTube; he has written songs for major artists such as Mina, Celentano, and Ornella Vanoni, as well as original soundtracks. He has also hosted two prime-time TV editions of Ci vuole un fiore.
In February 2025, following his new participation at the Sanremo Festival with "Viva la vita," he released Dalla tua parte, his sixth studio album, which debuted directly at number one on the Top 20 CD, Vinyl, and Cassette chart and at number two on the best-selling albums chart in Italy (Top of The Music Fimi/GfK chart). He is currently on tour, with several live dates scheduled for autumn, including October 1 at the Arena di Verona.
Leaving the quartet is Manuel Agnelli, one of the judges with the highest number of seasons, who last year brought one of his artists, the very young Mimì, to victory.
