Rome, June 15 (LaPresse) – The 15th edition of La Pellicola D’oro concluded with great success yesterday in the beautiful setting of Via Veneto in Rome, following the presentation of nominations and special awards held last May at the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy. Many guests from the cinema and entertainment world attended the event promoted and organized by the Cultural Association “S.A.S. Cinema,” whose president is set designer and director Enzo De Camillis.

The evening, hosted by Sabina Stilo and Beppe Convertini, is dedicated to the crafts and trades of the Italian film and audiovisual industry, which form the backbone of a film. More than ever this year, great attention from film journalists and photographers was given to the arrival of the big names present. Among them: Oscar winner Paolo Sorrentino, who received the Best Film award for “Parthenope” from the professors and students of the Rossellini Cine TV school. The director was welcomed by Rome’s Capital City Councilor for Culture Massimiliano Smeriglio.

Special awards went to Stefania Sandrelli, Enrico Montesano, and Armando Grottesi (inventor of the Dolly). Tommaso Ragno received the Best Actor award for the film “Vermiglio” by Maura Del Pero, and Carmine Recano was awarded Best Actor in the TV fiction “Mare fuori 4,” directed by Ivan Silvestrini. Both were awarded by Cristina Bolla (President of the Genova Liguria Film Commission).

The Best Actress award went to Serena Rossi for the film “Il treno dei bambini” by Cristina Comencini; she thanked the organizers through a video message, while in the Fiction category, Lunetta Savino won for “Libera” by Gianluca Mazzella. The actress received the award from Mariano Angelucci (President of the Commission for Major Events).
