Turin, Aug. 12 (LaPresse) – Ghali has once again spoken about Gaza and the Palestinian situation, starting from the killing of six Al Jazeera journalists. The artist published a long post on social media addressed to his colleagues, especially those artists who have not taken a stand: “In Italy, many figures have spoken out, but others, incredibly, have not.” “With their deaths, beyond the pain of this injustice, there is also the risk of the death of information in Gaza,” the singer stressed. “Killing those who provide information means hiding the truth, and this is just one of the countless crimes and violations of human rights that are being committed.” “It’s now known by everyone, admitted by everyone: what’s happening in Gaza is genocide,” he wrote in the post. “I would like to say to those who make music like me, to those who write, to those who put their face and voice at the service of entertainment, that we must remember we are all living in the same time frame.” Ghali then issued an appeal to his colleagues: “Let’s remember that great steps are always taken together, as history tells us. And we can do it together because we share the same mission: to create memorable moments, to change our lives and those of our families, to entertain people and be a wonderful mass distraction. God has blessed us: let’s not curse each other, everything is fine.” “We are privileged to live in a part of the planet where every day is a new opportunity,” he concluded. “United, we can be afraid of nothing.”
