Milan, Sept. 6 (LaPresse) – About 10,000 people paid their respects to Giorgio Armani at the lying in state set up at the Armani Teatro in Milan. A long line of ordinary citizens, from the early morning of the second day and continuously along Via Bergognone, waited to say farewell to the king of fashion, who died on September 4 in Milan at the age of 91. The funeral will be held tomorrow in private at Rivalta di Piacenza, in the church of San Martino, located in the medieval village adjacent to the castle. After the ceremony, Giorgio Armani will be buried in Rivalta di Gazzola, in the family chapel where his mother Maria, father Ugo, and brother Sergio are already laid to rest.
