Rome, Oct 25 (LaPresse) – “The Dopofestival will be hosted by Nicola Savino, who in January will also present four special episodes of Tali e Quali,” said Carlo Conti on the second day of Il Festival dello Spettacolo – the first event in Italy and Europe entirely dedicated to the different facets of entertainment, which began yesterday at the Superstudio Più in Milan.
The Artistic Director of the 76th edition of the Sanremo Festival officially confirmed Savino as the host of the next Dopofestival. Then, joking with the Director of TV Sorrisi e Canzoni, Aldo Vitali, who asked, “Should I keep 26 pages free, one for each singer, or should I leave a few more in the issue dedicated to Sanremo?” Conti replied: “I’d leave a couple extra…”
Conti also spoke about the selection of the songs: “This is the most difficult moment, when I say ‘this song yes, this one no,’ it’s like completing a puzzle, a bouquet of flowers to understand which colors and flavors go together… I feel this responsibility greatly. Once this is done, the television part begins, and it’s much easier. Once the songs are announced, I think about how to plan the evenings.”
Finally, he paid tribute to Pippo Baudo with a long round of applause from the packed room: “Even today, we do the Sanremo Festival based on how Pippo set it up.”
