Naples, 29 October (LaPresse) – ‘James Senese, an extraordinary saxophonist, musician and Neapolitan artist appreciated all over the world, has left us. These are truly sad hours for our community, which mourns the passing of one of its most talented and beloved sons.’ This is how the president of the Campania Region, Vincenzo De Luca, remembers James Senese, the Neapolitan saxophonist who died today at the age of 80. ‘James Senese's career, life and personal history,’ continues De Luca, "are a blend of cultures and experiences that found in the city of Naples the place to merge and create an original and extraordinary artistic expression. He had a long musical career, studded with international awards and artistic collaborations that gave rise to some of the most famous bands in Naples in the second half of the 20th century, from the Showmen to Napoli Centrale. We also remember him for his great humanity. Our condolences go out to all his family and loved ones," concluded De Luca.
