USA, De Niro: ‘I don't want a fascist dictatorship, we must react’

Rome, 7 November (LaPresse) – ‘America today? May God help us. I don't even know if I can continue to use the word hope, to hope that justice can be achieved.’ So said Robert De Niro at the screening of Once Upon a Time in America at the Space Cinema Moderno in Rome for Fuori Sala di Alice nella città. ‘We must push, react, as we did, for example, in the elections in New York, Virginia and California,’ he continued. ‘We cannot allow this administration to bully us. It is essential to do something because this is not our country and we want it back. We do not want it to be transformed, as is happening, into a fascist dictatorship.’
