Florence, 11 November (LaPresse) – ‘Investigative journalism sheds light on grey areas, which are often areas that those in power and politics do not want to be illuminated, but we are here and we continue to shine a light on them.’ This was stated by Sigfrido Ranucci, journalist and presenter of Report on Raitre, during a press conference in Florence. ‘I believe that the value of investigative journalism is an inalienable value of humanity and therefore gives courage to those who do it and gives courage to those who listen to it and watch it because it gives the sense that things can change,’ added Ranucci. According to the presenter of Report, ‘investigative journalism is a team effort: this is the real way to be a journalist, never alone but certainly together, because it takes many people to verify all the facts. Investigative journalism is extremely complicated, it requires not two eyes but four, even six, and we even have eight when we make the episodes.’
