I followed your advice, and today I was going to call you to tell you that I had followed your advice and cut my hair short, just as you wanted. I will miss you so much. I will miss everything about you, your scoldings, but even more your good advice. You were a great performer, needless to say, the greatest Italian performer. When you sang, your music and your voice touched the heart, but everyone knows that. I loved you so much, I loved and respected you. I pray for you, dear Ornella, goodbye'. This is how Iva Zanicchi remembered Ornella Vanoni, who passed away last night at the age of 91.
