Vanoni, Caterina Caselli: ‘An immense performer, a free and courageous woman’

Milan, 24 Nov. (LaPresse) – ‘She is leaving, a great performer has left us, an immense performer, and I am not exaggerating with this adjective because every time she sang these songs, even now as I enter, I am moved because it is a voice that leaves a mark inside you’. These were the words of Caterina Caselli as she left the Piccolo Teatro after paying tribute to Ornella Vanoni, accompanied by the Milan City Council's Councillor for Culture, Tommaso Sacchi. ‘She leaves a legacy for those who knew her, a source of inspiration for those who love art. We worked together and I got to know her,’ continued the artist, recounting her professional and personal relationship with the singer. ‘She was a free woman, she always was, very courageous, and she was not afraid of change. She was very interested and curious to experiment, but she knew how to choose. Whatever she chose, however, was something that had to do with art and beauty,’ she concluded.
