Turin, Dec. 13 (LaPresse) – “This year, I believe that, regarding both young artists and established names, there is a lot of variety. From rock to rap, classic pop, Latin music, and the usual hit songs. It’s perhaps even more varied than last year,” said Carlo Conti, artistic director and host of the Sanremo 2026 Festival, during the press conference presenting Sarà Sanremo, scheduled for tomorrow prime time on Rai1. “There is extraordinary ferment in Italian music, especially among singers and producers. There is a great desire to present new things. Italian music is in excellent health: for example, ten or twelve years ago, the hit parades included only two or three Italian songs out of ten, the rest were foreign; today, almost all of the songs are Italian and many come from the Festival,” he concluded.
