Rome, 21 February (LaPresse) – Giorgia Cardinaletti, journalist and presenter of Tg1, the leading face of Rai news, will join Carlo Conti and Laura Pausini on the final evening of the 76th Sanremo Festival. The announcement was made, as is tradition, live on Tg1 by Carlo Conti himself, artistic director and presenter of the Festival, who thus revealed a new piece of the Sanremo 2026 mosaic dedicated to Pippo Baudo. Space will then be given to the Lifetime Achievement Awards to pay tribute to those artists who have made Italian song immortal. The artistic director of the 2026 Sanremo Festival announced them 72 hours before the curtain rose in a live link from Sanremo with Tg1. The first Lifetime Achievement Award went to Fausto Leali, a symbolic interpreter of the Italian melodic tradition; to Mogol, one of the most important Italian songwriters; and to Caterina Caselli, a highly prestigious singer and record producer.
