Milan, 24 February. (LaPresse) – On the fourth anniversary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Tuesday 24 February, the track from U2's EP “Days of Ash”, released last week, “Yours Eternally”, is now accompanied by a four-and-a-half-minute documentary directed by Ukrainian director and cinematographer Ilya Mikhaylus and produced by Pyotr Verzilov. Filmed in December 2025, while Mikhaylus and his crew were stationed alongside the 40,000 soldiers of the Khartiya Corps, the film captures the extraordinary daily life of Alina and her fellow soldiers of the Khartiya Corps fighting on the front lines in the Kharkiv region. The short film is part of a full-length documentary scheduled for release in late 2026. The song “Yours Eternally” features the Irish band alongside Ukrainian soldier-musician Taras Topolia and Ed Sheeran, in a ballad that is a letter from the front line by a Ukrainian singer who went to the front. U2 have repeatedly supported the Ukrainian cause, with Bono and The Edge, at the invitation of President Zelensky, holding a concert in the capital's underground in the city under Russian siege in 2022.
