Milan, Jan 10 (LaPresse) – The Carabinieri’s Special Operations Group (Ros) stated that it has "no ongoing investigations, nor has it received any specific mandates" regarding the case of journalist Cecilia Sala, who was arrested in Iran. In a note, Ros clarified that the reports are "unfounded." The Ros "limited itself, as usual, to collecting spontaneous statements from Ms. Sala about the incident, which were filed with the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Rome". Regarding the investigation by the Milan Prosecutor’s Office into Mohammed Adebini Najafabadi, the alleged 'drone engineer' from Tehran arrested at Malpensa on December 16, investigative sources confirm that his phone, tablet, and hard drive seized during the arrest are in the possession of the Prosecutor’s Office. To date, no international rogatory request for the handover of the materials has been received from the United States. The seizure report has been validated by the Prosecutor's Office in Busto Arsizio and subsequently transferred to Milan in a case file opened under model 45, with no suspects or specific charges, managed by Prosecutor Marcello Viola and Deputy Eugenio Fusco. No investigative activities are currently being conducted on the devices seized from Abedini.
