Rome, 17 Jan (LaPresse) – Police in Crotone arrested a 42-year-old Nigerian man, a fugitive who had been convicted of the crime of criminal conspiracy to traffic human beings. The man, leader of ‘Arrow Baga-Supremes Vikings’, a criminal group active in France whose members over time were responsible for crimes such as trafficking in human beings, extortion, theft, exploitation of prostitution and sexual violence, was intercepted by policemen near the police station of the Pythagorean city. It was the attitude of the man, who showed impatience, that made the officers suspicious. Investigations showed that the man had a European arrest warrant on him, which the 42-year-old had been evading since 2023, relating to a 10-year prison sentence issued by the court in Marseille. The man had been convicted of conspiracy to aid illegal immigration, extortion and sexual violence.
