Rome, 23 Jan (LaPresse) – The judges of the first penal section of the Court of Cassation have confirmed the 3-year sentence against Amanda Knox, accused of slander against Patrick Lumumba, which had been issued by the Florence Court of Appeal. The Attorney General, during his indictment this morning, had urged the rejection of the appeal of the US citizen, Amanda Knox, and the confirmation of the 3-year sentence, because Amanda Knox, allegedly accused Lumumba of the murder of Meredith Kercher, which took place in Perugia in November 2007, even though she knew he was innocent.
