Milan, Jan. 27 (LaPresse) – Traces of a deleted video have reportedly been found on the smartphone of the eyewitness who allegedly recorded the final moments of the incident on the night of November 24, in which Ramy Elgaml lost his life in Milan at the intersection of Via Ripamonti and Via Quaranta following a police chase.

The results come from a forensic IT analysis of electronic devices ordered by the Milan Prosecutor’s Office and conducted by engineer Marco Tinti. The primary goal of the analysis was to attempt to retrieve the video that the NCC driver claimed to have recorded and later been forced to delete on orders from the officers.

The report was submitted today to public prosecutors Marco Cirigliano and Giancarla Serafini, who, along with deputy prosecutor Tiziana Siciliano and Prosecutor Marcello Viola, are investigating charges of complicity in vehicular manslaughter, aiding and abetting, and obstruction of justice involving three carabinieri and Ramy’s friend, Fares Bouzidi, who was driving the T-max that crashed.
