Rome: Arson Fire Destroys Outdoor Area of Film Location from 'Febbre da Cavallo'

Rome, January 28 (LaPresse) – The famous location on Via Tribuna di Tor de' Specchi, 'Bar Gabriella,' near Piazza dell'Ara Coeli, was damaged last night by a large arson fire that affected the exterior. The fire's starting point was identified by firefighters as several scooters parked in front of the gazebo. The venue was the set for some of the most important scenes of the cult film Febbre da Cavallo (Horse Fever) by director Steno, starring Gigi Proietti, in 1976. According to LaPresse, the fire is believed to have been intentional, as shown by footage from surveillance cameras currently being reviewed by investigators. The fire is being investigated by officers from the Environmental Protection Unit of the Trevi Group of the Rome Capital Municipal Police, who are expected to send a preliminary report to the Rome Prosecutor's Office in the coming hours.
