Rome, Feb 12 (LaPresse) – "I think of so many countries at war. Brothers and sisters, let us pray for peace and do everything we can for peace. Never forget that war is always a defeat. We were not born to kill but to help peoples grow. May paths to peace be found.
Please, in your daily prayers, ask for peace. Think of Ukraine, Palestine, Israel, Myanmar, North Kivu, and so many other countries at war. Let us do penance for peace."
These were the words of Pope Francis as he concluded the Wednesday general audience in Paul VI Hall.
