Milan, 13 Feb (LaPresse) – Heavy rain on the island of Elba, flooded roads in Portoferraio, firefighters engaged in rescue operations: because of the rising water, three rescue operations were carried out to evacuate residents stuck in their homes; 28 people in difficulty in broken-down vehicles along the main road in Portoferraio were rescued; 12 people were evacuated from a dance school, including 9 minors, and another dozen from a pizzeria. Other teams of divers and water rescuers arrived by sea to reinforce them.
