"We welcome this initiative and activity of the Pavia Public Prosecutor's Office, which we can only appreciate. Years ago, as the defense, we had requested these checks, but nothing was done. Today, the Prosecutor's Office, on its own initiative, has decided to carry out this consultation," says Giada Bocellari, the lawyer for Alberto Stasi, who is in prison for the 2007 murder of his girlfriend Chiara Poggi, regarding the reopening of the investigation into Andrea Sempio, the victim's brother's friend, who will undergo a DNA test. "We have great hope that the truth will finally emerge and that justice will be done. Let's not forget that Alberto Stasi, despite never having avoided prison or compensation, has always proclaimed his innocence. Now we are nearing the end of his sentence, and we are waiting for developments in this new investigation. At this stage, we are spectators of the Prosecutor's activities," Bocellari added.
