Florence, 14 March (LaPresse) – Following the issuing by the Region of Tuscany of a ‘red’ adverse weather forecast, the activities of the Relief Coordination Centre, coordinated by the Prefecture of Florence, continue unabated. The situation, informs a note from the Prefecture, is being constantly monitored during the meetings that have taken place since yesterday afternoon both in the Relief Coordination Centre and in the Regional Crisis Unit. During the meeting, one of the aspects being analysed was the need to adopt a closure measure for cultural and artistic premises such as museums, libraries and monumental complexes with immediate effect until the red alert is lifted. During today's meeting – still in progress – of the Relief Coordination Centre, the risk profiles connected to the type of alert issued by the Region were further analysed, with specific reference to the expected rainfall and in addition to the intense rainfall recorded since yesterday.
