Rome, 14 March (LaPresse) – Civil Protection Minister Nello Musumeci has signed the decree on the state of extraordinary mobilisation of the National Civil Protection Service for the Emilia Romagna region. ‘The measure,’ reads a note, ‘was necessary to deal with the serious critical situation caused by the wave of bad weather, which is creating dangerous conditions for the safety of people and public and private property. The request made by the President of the Emilia-Romagna Region has thus been granted, after the rapid preliminary investigation by the National Civil Protection Department.In order to better operate in the difficult situation, the same Department will ensure the coordination of the intervention of the National Civil Protection Service and the organised voluntary work of other Regions, to support the regional structures of the affected territories and to provide assistance and relief to the populations involved’.
