Genoa, March 26 (LaPresse) – "I am here to say everything I know and to give my small contribution to the truth." These are the first words of former Aspi CEO Giovanni Castellucci, who began speaking in court about half an hour ago during the trial concerning the collapse of the Morandi Bridge in Genoa. He decided to make a voluntary statement in the final hearing of the investigation phase of the trial. Castellucci spoke about his memory of August 14, 2018, and of feeling "responsible" for the maintenance of the structure involved in the collapse, "but not guilty." The former top manager led Autostrade for 14 years, from 2005 until the year after the Polcevera viaduct tragedy, which occurred on August 14, 2018.
