Milan, April 10 (LaPresse) – The Court of Milan has acquitted Fabrizio Corona of the charge of attempted extortion by threatening to disseminate sex videos of a 30-year-old woman from Lodi. For judge Mario Morra, who granted the request of lawyers Ivano Chiesa and Cristina Morrone, the fact does not constitute a crime. Between the former VIP photographer and the woman, who was in business with him for the writing and promotion of a book and for a very brief occasional affair, ‘mutual disputes’ allegedly arose over the agreed figures of several thousand euro, and in a phone call in 2021 Corona allegedly referred to the video of their relationship where, however, she would not have been caught on camera. Rejected was the request for a sentence of 1 year and 8 months and a 700 euro fine made by the prosecutor Antonio Cristillo, who during the indictment had spoken of a ‘vague threat’ reinforced by Corona's ‘judicial curriculum’ and of ‘blackmail’ as a way ‘to buy silence’.
