Dear Pope Francis, without you asking us, we will continue to pray for you and we are certain that you will continue to pray for us, for the Church and for the world.’ These were the words of Cardinal Matteo Zuppi, president of the Italian Episcopal Conference, during his homily at the Mass in suffrage of Pope Francis in Bologna. ‘We thank the Lord for the gift of Pope Francis. Let us learn to give our hearts to this world full of so much suffering,’ he concluded.
