Rome, April 29 (LaPresse) – Disclosure of investigation secrets. This is the alleged offense for which the public prosecutor of the Caltanissetta Prosecutor’s Office has placed former deputy prosecutor of Rome, Michele Prestipino—currently serving at the National Anti-Mafia Directorate—under investigation. According to the accusation, the magistrate allegedly disclosed confidential information regarding investigations to former Police Chief Gianni De Gennaro, now president of the general contractor company entrusted with the design and construction of the Strait of Messina bridge. The Financial Police have been tasked with the investigation. National anti-mafia and anti-terrorism prosecutor Giovanni Melillo has announced the immediate revocation of Prestipino’s investigative coordination assignments.
