Vatican City (Vatican), May 8 (LaPresse) – The second day of the Conclave begins in the Vatican. After last night's first black smoke, the cardinal electors are reconvening in the Sistine Chapel for the second ballot. The first smoke of the day could appear around 10:30 a.m., but only if a Pope is elected. Otherwise, the only smoke signal will be at noon, following the morning’s second ballot, the third overall. The quorum required to elect the successor of Pope Francis is 89 votes out of a total of 133 electors.
