Garlasco murder, Carabinieri raid Andrea Sempio’s home

Rome, May 14 (LaPresse) – Since dawn, the Milan Carabinieri have been conducting a search at the home of Andrea Sempio in connection with the murder of Chiara Poggi, which took place on August 13, 2007, in Garlasco, a town in the province of Pavia. The news was reported by the 7 a.m. edition of Tg1 and shared on the news program’s social media channels. The Carabinieri also searched the home of Sempio’s parents. Sempio, who was 18 at the time and a friend of the victim’s brother, is now under investigation for complicity in the murder—either with Alberto Stasi, the only person convicted in the case, or with other unknown individuals. The Pavia prosecutor’s office has ordered new investigative activities, entrusting the case to the Carabinieri’s operational unit in via Moscova.
