Rome, May 15 (LaPresse) – A 60-year-old woman was found dead in a villa on Via Agropoli in Fregene, a town in the municipality of Fiumicino in the province of Rome. Carabinieri officers were present at the scene. Among the various leads, the possibility of homicide has not been ruled out. Emergency medical services (118) also responded to the scene.

The woman's son and his partner were questioned at length by investigators from the Ostia investigative unit. The victim has been identified as Stefania Camboni. According to information obtained by LaPresse, the 60-year-old woman had ongoing disputes with other family members over inheritance matters.

Her husband, Giorgio Violoni — a former football player for the Maccarese team and the Lazio youth squad — died in 2020. The son, who discovered his mother’s body, works as a security guard at Ciampino Airport.

Investigators and authorities are not ruling out the hypothesis of murder. The Public Prosecutor’s Office of Civitavecchia has ordered an autopsy on the woman’s body.
