Milan, 19 May (LaPresse) – ‘When we see various postponements, this does raise concerns.’ This was the response of Justice Minister Carlo Nordio to a question from journalists on the Garlasco case on the sidelines of the “Talk to the future” event at the Court in Milan. ‘When a judge has already had doubts to the point of acquitting,’ said Nordio, specifying that he did not want to comment on ongoing investigations and was speaking ‘in general terms,’ ‘it is difficult to convict beyond reasonable doubt, as required by our Constitution.’ "It used to be said that time is the father of truth, but often time is the father of oblivion. So the more time passes, the more difficult it becomes to reconstruct a fact,‘ concluded the Minister of Justice, reiterating, however, that he did not wish to “intervene” in ’an ongoing investigation."
